As it’s my birthday this weekend (on Sunday to be exact), I’ve decided to put all our products on sale for just $1. This includes The Veggie Patch, which will be getting an update in the near future (everyone who purchases a copy will receive the update for free).
The sale is running on RPGNow/DriveThruRPG, and will last for the weekend.

While it’s not everyone’s cup of tea, some people have been quite taken by The Veggie Patch. Walkerp (co-host of The RPG Haven Podcast) was so taken that he convinced his friends to try it out for a one-shot. Even better, he recorded the session so anyone who was interested could download it and give it a listen.
The result was a hilarious romp through The Veggie Patch setting, and it would be safe to say that after their session the Patch was never going to be the same again! You can download the recording of their session here.
Walkerp’s group did come across a few problems while playing the game. The first was the character sheet – it didn’t have a place to record the characters defense value! Thankfully this has now been fixed, and you can download a corrected character sheet from here.
However Walkerp’s group also ran into some issues with a few other things in the game. The feedback from the session, along with my own ideas that have changed in the three years since The Veggie Patch was released (my how time flies!) have convinced me to do a Revised edition.
There won’t be any changes to the setting, but the rules will be getting a bit of tweaking to hopefully improve the play experience (especially combat, which is much too slow for such a non-serious game). It will also give me a chance to make minor changes to the layout, and make another editing pass over the text.
And just to allay any concerns, owners of the current version will be able to get a free copy of the revised version.

For the time being, I’ve decided to close the Polgarus Games web store. But rest assured, this doesn’t mean Polgarus Games is closing! You can still continue to buy our products at YourGamesNow, e23 and RPGNow/DriveThruRPG.
Things have certainly been quiet (again) on the Polgarus Games front, but I hope that this will change in the coming months.

Ok, so for various reasons Polgarus Games has been on a long hiatus for the past 18 months or so (with the exception of the free product we did a year ago). Hopefully that will start to change from now, and we will be able to move forward again with new products.
As part of that process, I’m taking part in the WoAdWriMo (World Adventure Writing Month) challenge that’s on in the month of July. The adventure is for a new setting I’m working on for Polgarus Games. The adventure will be free, and if all goes well in the challenge it will be done by the end of the month. The actual setting book with take a while longer – no guesses on that front 
If you’re interested, I’m posting about the writing process for the adventure on my RPG Ramblings blog. I’ll also be writing about the progress of other Polgarus Games work, and other roleplay-related items (my home campaigns, comments on news in the RPG world, etc).
